Hyperkin have just recently released information regarding the development of RetroN 5.

Any Retro gamers out there looking forward to grabbing one of these on release?

This is a slick device. But it may lose out to Emulators for pc. The upside being the recent crackdown on filesharing through ISP's may cause more people to look in the Retron 5 direction if resellers do not try to capitalize by increasing prices. It is nice though.

Emulators can only do so much.
RetroN 5 will not only allow us to play games from multiple consoles, but also allow us to play in HD.
Also for people like me, whose computers are so bad they can barely run MS Paint, let alone any form of gaming, it can be a chance to get a big chunk of our gaming roots back.

The cost of this console, when it is announced, will be far less than the total cost I'd need to rebuild my PC. So its a WIN/WIN for me :)

Very true, especially when it comes to HD and overall consistency. I haven't built a pc in a very long time and by the time I look at the cost of the case (cause I have to have a full atx tower) I cringe at the total cost.

It will definately be based on personal preference. I haven't looked into it throughly but is there a way to make codes for it I wonder.

Looking at the images they posted within the link I posted, it looks like there will be a Built In cheats menu.
Though the console will also have a USB slot on the back, so anything is possible at the moment I guess.

Nice. Maybe I can finally finish Master Blaster after all these years :)

A big bonus would be this part.

Most games did not allow for you to freely save your games. The RetroN 5 will allow you to save their games at any point during gameplay, and will feature an autosave feature upon shutdown. You will be able to load your saves at anytime during gameplay.
